Thank you for joining us at the Charlotte StrEATs Festival last weekend! With the Tasting Tour SOLD OUT and the Festival packed - even when it called for rain - you guys showed up to represent foodies all over the city.
If you missed it, you missed out on the city showing its culinary muscle. From grits to gelato on Saturday and cook-offs to cocktails on Sunday, guests enjoyed great entertainment (shout out to @guarnaschelli!), food, and drinks all weekend long.
We built the festival as a model of what a successful event/restaurant partnership should look like, paying restaurants for their time and expertise, hiring culinary students to ease the burden on understaffed restaurants and give students a chance to interact with the industry’s brightest talents, and using local products as much as possible.
