Yesterday i posted a video jokingly needling TikTok in response to the hearings in front of congress. The response was an immediate defense of TikTok from lots of commenters and lots of "but facebook” type comments. I want to give some more detail on what I think here. We have a responsibility as creators on the platform to advocate for policy we think is going to result in a tool that is good for society.
