Ecological Grief is a real thing, and something I recently discovered. I've been feeling its effects since long before the pandemic l, and it's only become worse. If you're like me and live in Southern Ontario, you're seeing prolonged wildfire smoke warnings that last for days on end. Capybara and Squirrel is a comic I started writing last year. I have about 8 written episodes. I wanted something Toronto-centric with a but if an edge, while still being wholesome enough that my friends' kids could read it. I was hoping to make something I could crank out quickly, but that never happens for me 😆 I spent a lot of time choosing a pallet, designing the two characters and sometimes starting panels over again. I won't be posting these as frequently as I'd like because I'm too damn slow, but I'm really enjoying this project anyway.
