On Tuesday, Nov. 29, from noon until 2 p.m., WVU staff will be at the library to host a variety of activities, demonstrations and screenings for people interested in learning about and treating diabetes-related conditions.
The library will be transformed into a center of information and good food, all focused on making it easy to have a healthy diet.
At noon, Dr. Emma Eggleston will be answering questions about managing diabetes through diet, and at 1 p.m., Dr. Mark Cucuzzella will also be here to bring his unique perspective on creating a healthy lifestyle.
Also, during the event, a representative from WVU's Farm to You program will be giving away fresh local produce and recipes. They will also have ongoing cooking demonstrations, using some of the produce being handed out.
Free blood pressue and glucose testing will also be done during the event, as well as a presentation on Indoor Herb Gardening by WVU Extension agent Angela Lawrence.
