TRIGGER WARNING! Once every 4-6 weeks feed my giant cane toad hopper mice. He only eats live ones and although it looks cruel, it is nature. These toads are invasive in many regions and for reasons such as this. They are large and can eat just about any living prey, often outcompeting and even eating native species. I typically feed him crickets dusted with vitamins and calcium along with roaches on occation. I was down in South Carolina a few years ago in early spring looking for breeding frogs and we found this american bullfrog (Lithobates catesbeianus). This was cery anticlimactic as she went limp as soon as i grabbed her, likely because she was a little cool to the touch.
