(And by bonus tip I mean I forget to add it into the video 😂)
When staying in an Airbnb I’m mindful to not share any photos or videos of my view outside on social media until I’ve left. This would be anything that would identify where I’m staying. Maybe this sounds paranoid, but I personally never know who’s following me on social and I prefer that a stranger wouldn’t know where I’m sleeping at night.
Funny story, I learned this because once I posted a photo on my instagram story of my laptop/ me working from inside my apartment in Mexico City with a window in the frame that showed the street. This guy I matched with on Bumble (but hadn’t met up with yet) messaged me, “Not to be creepy but I know exactly where you’re staying now, I grew up around the corner.” 😅 Nothing bad came from that, we ended up friends (if you reading this, you know who you are 😂) but had it been anyone else it could have ended up in a different scenario. Sooo…I don’t do that anymore and neither should you
