We are lucky to have a few charity shops nearby selling quality used and vintage furniture and it's easy to find what I'm after!
I can obviously always go and drool on Vinterior over all that carefully curated beauty but finding the same or similar pieces but cheaper locally is always a win!

Ready in 30 minutes, vegan taco or tortilla filler. I don’t know what else to call it 🤣
I wanted to make a quick Mexican veggie and bean stew to fill the store bought tacos and tortillas in order to reduce time I spend with cooking. (I love to cook but I can’t spend an hour or more by cooking dinner! I need to save some time on it)
So this is a staple fortnightly recipe now and for the meat eaters I make diced pan fried chicken to mix into the bean and veggie stew 😜👌 This is how a veggie mum try to sort out dinner so that everyone is happy and she doesn’t have to eat something else or cook multiple meals.
Ingredients
1 400g can of red kidney beans drained
1 100g can of unsalted sweetcorn drained
3 large Portobello mushrooms thickly sliced
1/2 green bell pepper sliced
1 red bell pepper or Romano pepper sliced
1 small red onion finely chopped
1 400g chopped tomato can
4 cloves garlic minced
1/2 fresh jalapeño sliced
1 tsp ground cumin
1 tsp smoked paprika
handful fresh coriander chopped
1/3 tsp brown sugar
salt and pepper to taste
1 lime to serve with

What’s in my travel wash bag lately?
It’s not all that sustainable as you’d think as I wear contact lenses (monthly lenses, otherwise I get headaches in glasses) and with that I use contact lens solution. This small bottle is from the last time we’ve flown as we travelled with hand luggage only.
I’m not perfect at all!
The rest though, I can say is easy to travel with, in most cases they only take up small space and plastic free/sustainable products.

Handful of fresh coriander

Zest and juice of one lime
Blitz them all in a food processor and enjoy it with Jacob’s Cream Crackers.

I’m sure many of you know this.
But if in doubt - just be like a child, watch what they eat and feed them with that. 🥰
Bumped into these little goslings yesterday so the kids feed them with some grass because they watched them grazing.
5 reasons why bread is bad
1 Ducks need a varied diet to be healthy. Bread doesn’t have much nutritional value and fills the duck’s stomach so that it doesn’t forage for foods it would naturally eat, which can lead to malnutrition.
2 Uneaten soggy bread can cause a build-up of bad nutrients, which can lead to more algae growing around water, more diseases and more pests, such as rats.
3 Throwing bread into a canal or river can create an unnatural overcrowding of bird populations, as the birds will flock to the same location in search of their starchy treat.
4 Too many ducks or waterfowl in one place can stress the birds and lead to their habitats being damaged.
5 This also creates excessive amounts of bird droppings, which, along with being smelly and slippery underfoot, can reduce water quality and clog waterways with harmful algae.
