Looking for one of the most unique wineries in California? Check out this Tuscan-inspired castle nestled in the heart of Napa Valley, known as Castello di Amorosa. You must have a reservation to visit and they start at $50. These reservations include a self guided tour to the upper part of the castle and a tasting. We did the Diamond Estate Tour for $70 and it consists of a one hour tour where you go down into the unground part of the castle and even taste wine straight from the barrel. I have been here a few times over the years and it is certainly one of the most unique wineries in California. Yosemite’s Firefall is just around the corner (normally mid to late February). They are doing a permit system this year if you want to visit on a weekend to see it and the permits can be reserved tomorrow (Jan 13 at 8AM PT) through Recreation.gov. I’m not going this year but I wanted to share this in case anyone else was hoping to visit and wanted to get a permit.
