With his passion for the natural world, Andy is a regular visitor to the zoo with his family and will be supporting us on our journey to create a new conservation zoo. Happy World Gorilla Day 🩍 Here's our troop enjoying a recent lunch! Our gorillas will be moving over to their brand new habitat at Bristol Zoo Project once it's completed. Construction starts next year! It's not just the wolverines that like rolling in all things smelly 👃 Here's what happened when keepers sprayed items in the bear enclosure with perfume! 😂 As well as the natural stimulation the bears get from their woodland environment, our keepers introduce a range of enrichment activities to encourage their natural behaviours. Come and visit the animals of Bear Wood this weekend!

Keeper Sarah captured this amazing footage of 2-year-old gorilla, Juni, making himself a nest! Juni is displaying a natural behaviour that gorillas perform in the wild; making a rudimentary nest out of folded foliage. He will have observed this behaviour from the older members of the troop 🩍
