we play with the water tower rule. if you see a water tower you bank your cows and they can't be taken away.

I play this but it's "HORSES" when you see a horse/horses. You get a point for every horse on location, and those in the car help confirm.

I’ve played with cop cars- if you call cop car you get to steal someone else’s cows. And hay bales- if someone calls cows and it’s actually a hay bale

We play a version that you count the cows on your side of the car and if you drive past a graveyard on your side you lose them all and have to restart

my step dad taught us with horses and it'd be "zip" for most horses and "shalopski" (whatever spelling that would be haha) for an all white horse.
