In Brenda Novak's Book Group on Facebook, we feature a book each month we read together and then discuss with the author at the end of the month. If I have a new release, my book is our featured read. For instance, September’s my month because TALULAH’S BACK IN TOWN just came out. And December will be my month because THE TALK OF COYOTE CANYON will be out. When I don’t have a release, I pick a book from another author to feature. Then we discuss it as a group via a live video with the author. Thank you, Sacramento! It’s always an amazing feeling to launch a book with my local readers! I appreciate the support of everyone who came out last night and got a signed and personalized copy of TALULAH’S BACK IN TOWN! I wish I could have more signings across the country like I did with THE SEASIDE LIBRARY, but with only a month to finish my current book, I have to turn my focus there. I’ll be having another local launch party for THE TALK OF COYOTE CANYON, which comes out on November 28th. and for THE MESSY LIFE OF JANE TANNER, which comes out on February 20, 2024! Then I’ll be traveling again to do some signings for TOURIST SEASON, which comes out April 2, 2024!

Had so much fun taking the boat out on the Sacramento River! They have restaurants along the way where you can dock and get out to eat. We stopped at #swabbies and had the most amazing shrimp tacos. Some days my job is more fun than others—and this was one of them. I visited almost every bakery in #sacramento to sample their macarons because I wanted to find the very best to bring to my launch party at @Ruby’s Books in Folsom, CA on Tuesday, August 22nd at 6-8 p.m. and found two winners— @Ginger Elizabeth Chocolates and #estellebakeryandpatisserie ! I’m hoping to recreate the macaron tower on the cover of TALULAH’S BACK IN TOWN! Many other authors have advised me never to read the reviews for my own books, but I can’t help it. I do it, anyway. 😂 Fortunately, I’ve gotten a much thicker skin after seventy-five books. In the beginning, when I’d get a bad review it would ruin my whole day, but I’ve been around long enough to know that not every book is for every person. #meanreviews #booktok
