Find these intaglio prints at the arts canterbury show! On the 25th - 27th of August 2023 more than 70 Arts Canterbury members will be exhibiting at the second Arts Canterbury Art Show at The Cashmere Club, 50 Colombo Street, Cashmere, Christchurch. Arts Canterbury believe in fostering appreciation of the visual arts in Canterbury and provide support to artists who create it. This event will be a fundraiser for Arts Canterbury so that they may continue to provide this support to their members. The members of Arts Canterbury come from a variety of backgrounds and differing levels of experience – from established professional full time artists, emerging artists and hobbyists across a wide spectrum of mediums and styles. Not only will you find traditional paintings and drawings on show, but also sculptures, artworks created from glass, driftwood art, jewellery and so much more! There will definitely be something there for everyone to enjoy. After a couple of days sorting my life out in the studio, I have jumped back into the groove of etching this gorgeous unicorn. The thing I love the most about my intaglio prints is they leave themselves open to be able to be watercoloured or left in their former glory. Every single print takes perseverance as it's not all hunky-dory every time I ink up the plate. The goal is to print them all the exact same but hey it doesn’t have be perfect in the art world, right?
