We went down to Hot Springs to enjoy a day date and loved every second of the beautiful weather and visiting a few new places!! π
πSQZBX Brewery
This entire restaurant had such a fun vibe and it was so cool seeing all the piano pieces built into the decor. The Patio and mural were GORGEOUS and we got the Pepperoni Chips, Biggie Smalls pizza (tiny pepperoni on top and big pepperoni under the cheese! π), Cinnamon Honey Bread Knots drizzled with cream cheese icing and a lovely beer flight!! π»
πSpring on the Arlington Lawn
Bathhouse Row and the Promenade gave us the perfect place to walk off lunch and I loved finding this spring tucked away. Can't believe I had never seen it before, but it was so peaceful and that water was HOT!!!
πCrystal Ridge Distillery
It wasn't our first visit here, but when we went for our Prohibition Tour a couple months ago, we tried the ButterFizz and it's PERFECTION!! If you're a fan of Harry Potter, you're going to love this Butterbeer inspired beverage. We took home a bottle of Crystal Ridge's Butterscotch Moonshine and took the ButterFizz to a party this past weekend...everyone LOVED IT!!! π₯

We hosted a Clean-Up last Saturday at Saline River Crossing in partnership with Saline River Canoe, and check out these totals for trash collected...

21 tires (5 found on land and 16 pulled off the river) Misc:
metal pipes,
toys,
car bumper,
mattress,
bird bath,
tv,
Carpet,
2 wingback chairs,
computer,
toilet seat,
3 vacuum cleaners,
stove,
bike,
soccer balls,
Car battery,
t post,
car hood,
barrel,
one stuck table,
car fender,
metal siding,
propane tank,
Freon tank,
2 full paint buckets.
In total, we filled TWO 8-yard dumpsters!!!

I can't even tell you how proud I am of the people who joined us yesterday. We had a land crew and a river crew who met in the middle and WOW, all hands on deck made for quick work of (frankly) areas that had been completely trashed...a literal river of trash was flowing down a hillside.
Shout-out to the ACC Boatr crew for hitting it from the water, to Saline River Watershed Alliance, and all our Clean-Up Supporters, ESPECIALLY Rick from Riverside Grocery for feeding us the most Ah-Mazing catfish lunch with allllll the fixins!!

We're also been told, the name "Andy" has been painted into the mural to honor the artists late spouse. He was an artist as well, and it's something he would would do on his paintings, so she wanted to continue the tradition.

No secret codes here, just saddle up to the bar or head downstairs to the Jazz era styled basement and enjoy a gin cocktail.
The food was great too!
We got the Ozark Charcuterie with locally sourced sausage, cheeses, fresh fruit, pretzel bites and sugared walnuts, as well as the BBQ pork nachos. π They also do live music on the weekends and I'm definitely making a return trip for that!!

I thought the cave was permanently closed, BUT the family who owns it has opened it up for tours again!! It's $10 per person ($5 for kids), and you have to CALL to make your reservation!!

π Clearwater Corner Shop has a super cool bank Vault where you choose a bank box and see what prize is inside...we won a pair of sunnies!! π
πThe Hardy Sweet Shop has all the sweet treats, but they also have an area where you can "build" your own stuffed animal! They even have little Hardy Sweet Shops t-shirts they put on the stuffed animals! We did a bear and it turned out so cute!!
πBiggers is the perfect place to watch a sunset over the river π
