Anxiety is a normal part of the human experience. That means you're not going to be able to get rid of anxiety. Instead we can learn to change our relationship to it. We can do the this by 🌿 1. Our brains have evolved to be pessimistic and try as we might, we will imagine worst case scenarios. What we can get better at is how we relate to those worst case scenarios when they come up.
My top tip as a therapist is to run through the following three steps:
🌿A - Acknowledge the worry by naming it outloud.
🌿C - Connect back to your physical body by taking a deep mindful breath or pushing your feet into the floor.
🌿E - Engage with the present moment by mindfully running through your 5 senses.
Repeat the 3 steps above when ever you notice your brain getting hooked again.

When does anxiety start to become a problem? For many people it is the point at which they begin to experience anxiety at the though of experiencing anxiety. Why? Because anxiety is physically and emotionally unpleasant!
