Let’s talk mental health for a moment…

A lot of my childhood was mostly spent playing ‘schools’… from about the age of 5 I already had my life mapped out (before 5, I planned to become queen- unfortunately this didn’t happen..) I was going to be a teacher, live in a big house in the countryside; along with my husband and many children. I stuck to this plan, went to university and worked my a** off and later secured my dream job as a teacher to a wonderful reception class at a brand new primary school.

Truth is, life doesn’t always go to plan… and when it doesn’t it can cause bucket loads of anxiety, frustration and disappointment. Believe me, I was a mess after I got sick and realised that my future was now undetermined… But eventually I realised that I just needed to change my perspective as just because my future would now be different to what I had imagined, it didn’t mean that I didn’t have one.

So, so thankful for the community that I have built throughout this journey, I truly wouldn’t be where I am today if it wasn’t for all of you xxx

To anybody struggling, I am sending you so much love and strength, you’ve got this and it can always get better.
