The one goal I have every single morning, no matter what phase of my cycle Iβm in, is to start the day doing something I enjoy.
During my follicular phase itβs usually reading and learning while sipping some delicious coffeeπ
While during my menstrual phase, just cuddling with my kitty for an extended amount of time makes me happyπ
By starting each morning doing something you enjoy, you go into the day feeling so much better.
Your favorite thing doesnβt have to take that long.

And if we donβt take that into account when it comes to our morning routine, weβll likely fail to stick to a new routine longer than 5 days.
When we start focusing on living more in tune with our natural cycle, we can start seeing more success in our morning routines which will in turn, change every other area in our life as well.

Today is day 5 of getting back to my morning routine after getting my wisdom teeth pulled last week.
While today didnβt go exactly like I wanted, I gave myself some grace and moved forward.
I wake up around 7 am and started my morning with the usual journaling and even some meditation to help me focus on this busy Friday I had coming up.
Then I went for a two mile run, which I havenβt been able to do since before getting my wisdom teeth out. It felt so good to get back out.
After my run, I showered and went out to a little nutrition shop in my town to treat myself to a tea and protein shake as a celebration for the first week back at it.
Then finally I got started with my busy work day.

Today is day 4 of getting back to my morning routine after getting my wisdom teeth pulled last week.
So I have about 4 steps of getting back to my routines when I take a break. Let me know if you want a breakdown of these 4 steps.
But today I reached the 3rd step, which is to get up with your alarm set at the time that I got up before my break, which was 5:30.
Today I wake up at 5:30 and once I started moving, I felt wide awake pretty quickly.
I didnβt have much time since I had to get to work earlier today but I was still able to journal, read a couple pages of my book, and pet Nala for a bit before heading out the door.
Tomorrow, Iβll be back into the full swing of my morning routine with my full routine including my first run since before my wisdom teeth.

After just 3 days, Iβm really started to feel my routine falling back into place.
If you already have a solid routine that works for you, then when you fall off of it for any reason, getting back to it wonβt take you as long as when you first started.
The hardest part will be making the commitment on day 1 and after that youβll find that everything starts to fall back into place much easier.

There are occasionally days where I skip my morning routine and my day just feels off and I often feel exhausted because I didnβt take the time in the morning to make sure I filled my cup and took care of my needs.
Sure you need time in your mornings for a shower and some breakfast, but you should also make time for things that will help you start your day on a positive and grateful note.
