I know I have either grown or matured, because this is how I pick and collect suputi now for my qulliq. I use to pick the whole plant and collect the seeding
once I'm home off the stems. Suputi can be from plants that have a fluffiness like Arctic cotton or like here from Arctic Willows. The plants here has many health benefits used by Inuit and other northern Indigenous Peoples. I learned to use this willow seeds mixed with dry moss for the wick of an oil lamp. Some also eat parts of the arctic willow, as it's known for various benefits and is said to be high in vitamin C.
