The sun always shines in the Caribbean.
Tourists come to the tropical islands especially when winter strikes their homeland. The temperatures, on average, are between 23 to 30 degrees Celsius regardless of the season.
Be aware of humidity that can be high year-round. If you need dry clothes, I suggest the cleaning service at your hotel. I’ve been to the Dominican Republic in May, and it was OK, hot weather, with some rain, but not too much.
Also, note that hurricanes are common in the tropics. Hurricane season lasts from June through November so check the forecast before your vacation.

Perfect places to extend summer in September:
1. Ibiza - the weather is still amazing, especially begging of the month. Less crowded than in July or August and way more cheaper in terms of flights and accommodations.
Definitely a good spot to enjoy a sunny day at the beach in September, while staying in Europe.
2. Gili Islands, Indonesia
Weather is perfect, summer is at its best, still dry season in Indonesia, with lesser rainy days.
Gili Islands are the the perfect getaway from reality. Prices are cheap, flights and accommodations are more than attractive. Great spot for snorkeling or free diving.
Long haul flights can be challenging, I can relate to that, but it is worth it.
3. Nusa Penida, Indonesia
Another beautiful island that starts to grow in terms of popularity for those visiting Bali.
You can spend 2 or 3 days maximum on the island.
Perfect place to spot Manta Rays and Turtles if you go snorkeling or free diving. Amazing experience.
