Get out of San Juan and into the magic that is Puerto Rico!!!
⛵️ Luquillo - Nestled between the mountains and rainforest of El Yunque and the golden coast, the region is known for its pristine beaches and food kiosks. Zip line through the forest, hike to waterfalls, and relax on the beach.
🦞 Fajardo - Not far from the metro area of San Juan, the Northeast coast of Fajardo is brimming with fresh seafood and the gorgeous teal waters surrounding La Cordillera Nature Reserve. Rent a miniboat with @kayakingpuertorico and snorkel the reefs along Icacos Cay before enjoying today’s fresh catch for lunch at El Cayo.
💃🏿 Loiza - famous for its Afro-Caribbean culture through Bomba dancing, festivals, and delicious food, Loiza makes an excellent day trip from San Juan. Did you know there were tropical and temperate rainforests all around the United States? You don’t need a passport to visit one of these lush forests:
1. El Yunque National Forest in Puerto Rico is the only subtropical rainforest managed by the US Forest Service. That means the only passport youll need to visit this rainforest is a national parks passport!
2. The Big Island in Hawai’i is covered in tropical and cloud rainforests. Check out the US’s only tropical zoo in Hilo, or snag another national parks stamp at Volcanos National Park.
3. The Mainland US has rainforests too! Head to the Olympic Peninsula of Washington State to explore the cooler climate of the Hoh and Quinalt Rainforests.
Have you ever been to a rainforest?

The Philly Art Museum is one of the coolest museums I’ve ever been to. Every room is styled as it would have been in the time period that each art piece is from.
Friday evenings are pay-what-you-will so free or extremely cheap to visit!
