🚨What club should you use❓
For beginners I recommend, a sand wedge 56. For intermediate to advance players, you can choose a higher lofted club as long as you feel comfortable with it.
🤩What should you look for when you have to hit a bunker shot❓
✔️ KNOW YOUR SAND: What condition is the sand in? Is it Deep, Dry, Fluffy, Soft Sand? Or is it Shallow, Firm, Wet Sand? Identifying the condition of the sand allows you to identify what strategy of game play you will use.
‼️The hard part: Getting the Ball out of the Bunker‼️
⛳️ Utilize BOUNCE: The amount from the leading edge to the trailing edge.
⛳️ Open up the club face a little more, in this video the sand is fluffy and not too wet, so we don’t need to dig as much.
🚨FOR YOUR STANCE🚨
✅ Make sure your feet are wider and wider base.
✅ We want more flex in the knees.
✅ Lower the handle of your club and open the clubface about 45 degrees.
✅ Keep your weight on the LEAD foot.
❌We do not want the weight to shift back to the trail foot, because you will have a tendency to hit the ground first❌
✅ Hit TWO inches behind the ball not decelerating as we want to make sure we are accelerating through impact.
