Yes, it can be exciting and you want to show everyone when you get your song master back but trust me—more people will hear it when you put the proper marketing force behind the release.

Be patient, give it some thought, and set a date that is at least 4-6 weeks out AFTER you get the master back.

This will give you proper time to create content and connect with playlists as well as build a little hype for the song when the time comes to finally release it.

This is what successful major labels have done for decades. Independent artists should follow suit.
