Training for this upcoming Santa Rosa marathon has reminded me something simple yet profiund: the power of showing up. It comes down to consistency.
Thatβs one of the first things we coach our newer runners to understand. As you embark on your 5k / 10k / half/ full marathon journey, remind yourself that being consistently good is the best starting point, and focus on accomplishing each individual run.
Consistency shows up in running in many different forms:
1) Can you consistently follow your training plan?
2) Can you consistently prioritize your sleep to let your body physiolocically recover?
3) Can you consistently hydrate and eat nutritious foods to fuel your body?
Consistency is a theme weβre ALL working on and weβll help you chip away at it. :)
