There are SO many things that I've learned through my laser journey that have been "aha!" moments for me. Narrowing it down to just seven of them was a little tricky, but here they are... in no particular order! 👇🏻 ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ 1. Every sheet of material will caliper differently. No matter what the label says, don't forget to measure your material and focus your laser beam correctly! 2. 3M is much easier than glue. Yes, it's also more expensive than glue, but the time it saves is well-worth the cost and it can be worked into your project cost when pricing! 3. You can defocus in LightBurn. This was a game-changer for me when I realized I can control the Z-axis in LB, instead of manually lowering the bed after focusing! 4. Raising material off the bed will reduce flashback. I personally use magnets under my material to raise it off the bed, but you can use coins, scraps, cardboard, or whatever works best for you! 5. Keychain Thingies™ are easier than jump rings! If you haven't tried them yet, you're missing out! I won't use jump rings anymore unless my clients specifically ask — and then I charge more for my time (and sanity 🤪). 6. Gorilla Tape makes weeding masking a breeze! You can also use plastic razor blades and even sometimes hot soapy water to soak off masking, but using Gorilla Tape is my preferred method! 7. You can design and sell custom SVG designs for passive income! I'll say this until I'm blue in the face — creating and selling your own SVG designs is MONEY IN THE BANK! And, the only cost is your design-time! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ One more... I also wish I knew that my first laser was, in fact, a laser (not a 3D laser printer). I had never heard of a CO2 laser before then and I quickly realized that I should have done my homework first. Don't forget to do your research when buying a laser and compare ALL of the machines, along with their company's customer support, wait time for delivery, machine cost, ease of use, size, power, etc. before placing an order! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ LASER OWNERS! 👀 Comment below with some of the things you learned along your journey that you wish you had known sooner! ⬇️ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀ Shoutout to @Mya | Business Coach for the Reel inspo! 💛 created by LoBo Designs with Mya | Business Coach's original sound
