One of my most requested projects to date is our faux beam casing, which I can totally see why! It's a beginner friendly project that completely transforms the space with texture and character.

Some things have changed since a few years ago...
One thing that hasn't though is becoming comfortable with stepping outside of our comfort zones. Our projects have gotten bigger, and definitely better, with every crazy idea I come up with to customize our builder-grade home. It's crazy to think that a few years ago, we didn't even own a power tool and now we are tackling on a full basement renovation!

Say that again, I didnt quite hear ya ✨ I remember browsing our builder's socials looking for examples of two toned cabinetry, only to confirm my suspicions that it wasn't an option.
"You'll just have to make do.." was a phrase that kept me up at night trying to figure out how to make my island the wood toned cabinetry of my inspiration photo (see my kitchen island highlight bubble!).
Fast forward a few years, and a few ideas later, and here we are! Just because your builder doesn't offer it, or it isn't what you had in mind when you moved in, or your style has simply changed, I'm here to tell you, YOU CAN MAKE IT HAPPEN!

Not only does it keep our littles safe, but it adds a stylish touch to our home. It will be two years this August that we built this gate and for those that said it wouldn't work, well I guess proof is in the pudding.
